Family Portrait on the Beach

Family Portrait on the Beach

Yesterday afternoon Kim and I met Angela and Mike and their lovely daughter at a beach in Ocean City, NJ to photograph them all playing on the beach. Originally the weather was saying it was going to rain and possibly thunderstorm, but it turned out to be a perfect day on the beach. It wasn’t hot, the sun was out and there were barely any people on the beach at 5:30. This family was terrific also, they were all having fun and specifically their daughter was perfect. Every time I would ask the adults to look at the camera she was right there with them looking at the camera and smiling, It was really perfect. Kim was along as well and she got some amazing shots also (which are labeled below). You can really see how much fun they were all having and I think the baby’s smile says it all.

  1. Often a photography session can be tense or boring while the photographer sets up different poses especially when working with children. By the looks of your examples like the ones above, the people involved are having fun and are relaxed which translates into great pictures. Nice job Ray and Kim.

Yes, We were definitely having fun. Ray and Kim made us feel relaxed and comfortable, which I think made the pictures turn out better then I expected. We can’t wait till you guys shoot our wedding!!! Thanks again.
