Another Trip to Cape May

Another Trip to Cape May

There is nothing like walking along the beach when the sun is just coming up over the horizon. There are barely any people on the beach (but surprisingly there are some) and it’s so nice and quiet and peaceful. It was another great morning in Cape May, NJ for my father and I. We got there right after the sunrise and the birds were really active. After a few hours in Cape May, we stopped by Reeds Beach on the Delaware Bay to watch all the birds (specifically Red Knots) eating the horseshoe crab eggs. As you can see below there were thousands of birds gathered on the shores for the feast, it was quite a sight. You can view more pics at my dad’s blog along with a lot more info.

It was a really crowded beach this day. All these birds come to the coastline in the Delaware Bay to feed on the Horseshoe crab eggs.
