Heather & Kyle’s Engagement at Parvins State Park

What a total blast these two were. From the moment we started they were constantly laughing and playing around. We even got a snowball fight out of them. Heather and Kyle are completely in love. It really shows they are totally into each other and have no problem getting nice and close for the camera. Kim and I had an amazing time with them and we are really looking forward to their winter wedding coming up at the end of February. Thanks to both of you for being so great and taking the cold in stride and Kim and I will see you soon!

Megan & Ryan’s Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Megan and Ryan where such a fun couple to start out the new year. The entire shoot was constant laughter and smiles from both of them but especially Megan. Ryan can make her laugh at any given moment which of course made for some awesome photos. Kim and I met them out at Longwood Gardens for a great shoot with the amazing Christmas lights display they have out there every year. We all got lucky and had some beautiful evening sunlight and we were all able to spend some time outside. Kim and I had so much fun hanging out with Megan and Ryan we know the wedding will be a blast and we’re really looking forward to working with this fun couple again.

Natalie & Jim’s Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Kim and I met up with Natalie & Jim at Longwood Gardens with the goal being to take some shots outside and then head into the gorgeous Christmas display at the gardens. Natalie & Jim were such troopers, they stuck it out in the freezing cold and even managed to keep smiling the whole time they were outside. We all had lots of smiles and laughs that evening and these two were just great to work with. They said “sure” when we asked them to go outside for the sunset and just went for it when we asked them to kiss in front of all the other guests at the gardens. Kim and I are certainly looking forward to the wedding which I’m sure won’t be that cold! I posted a few of my favorite shots below and hope you enjoy them.

Katie & Terry’s Engagement at Batsto

We had an addition to Katie & Terry’s engagment last week, it was Murphy the super playful boxer. I think he is also part kangaroo because he was jumping all around. Kim and I had a blast with him in the beginning of the shoot and then we gave him a break so we could work with Katie & Terry.

These two were a ton of fun and super laid back. We wandered around Batsto with them for quite a while and had some great sunlight to work with for the photos. Terry can keep Katie smiling the entire day and it totally shows how much they are in love. I know it’s going to be an incredible wedding and we are definitely looking forward to getting to work with this great couple again. Below are a few of our favorite shots, I hope you enjoy.

Melissa & John Engagement at Batsto

Melissa and John have a thing for Volkswagens. They each have their own, so at their request we gladly added them into the shoot at the end of the night. We always love when a couple incorporates something personal to them, whether it’s a location, style, or in this case Volkswagens. It’s great for us since we get to work with the couple to make something personal and unique which I hope we achieved for Melissa and John. Kim and I met them at Batsto Village where we spent the evening laughing along with them. Melissa and John certainly know how to keep each other entertained which made for a great engagement shoot. Heidi & Joey’s Engagement on Somers Point Beach

Rain and rain and more rain, that’s what the days leading up to this engagement shoot were. I emailed Heidi earlier in the day to see if her and Joey still wanted to go for the shoot and Heidi wrote back “although its cloudy it looks like the rain will hold off till late tonight so let’s go for it!” That’s such a great attitude and it totally paid off. Kim and I got to the small beach area in Somers Point a bit early and there were a few rain drops falling, we didn’t know if we would even be able to do the shoot now that we were there.

Heidi & Joey showed up ready to rock and that is what they did, Heidi always had a great smile on her face, which got even bigger when she looked at Joey. We were having a great time with them and out of nowhere the sky started to clear up and the sun started poking through. We ended the photo session with some great light and a beautiful sunset! Below are a few of my favorite shots from that evening and thanks so much Heidi & Joey for taking the weather gamble, it certainly worked out great.

Stephanie & Brian’s Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Kim and I met Stephanie & Brian on a hot summer day to hang out and take some engagement photos. They had chosen to have the session at the beautiful Longwood Gardens which was an excellent choice. I’ve got to hand it to them, they kept having fun and smiling even while we were shooting in the extremely hot greenhouses. Longwood Gardens has basically an unlimited choice of photo locations and we spent almost 2 hours photographing these two, which was really easy since they were up for everything. Brian had us all laughing with his awesome sense of humor and Stephanie was constantly smiling and went right along with everything we asked of her. We had such a fun time with them that we can’t wait for the wedding coming this December. Below are a few of my favorite shots from the day I hope you enjoy.

Christine & Tom’s Wildwood Engagement

When Christine suggested that Kim and I photograph her and Tom at the Wildwood boardwalk I immediately thought it was a great idea for something a little different. We originally picked a date it April but it turned out to be a bit on the freezing cold side that day so we pushed it back to this past weekend which worked out perfectly. We got great weather that day and the boardwalk and rides were all open! We started out taking a walk down to the beach and the sun cooperated perfectly and gave us some nice warm light as Christine and Tom played around near the edge of the water. After that we headed up to a few colorful building on the boardwalk which made for some great backgrounds. It started to get dark so we headed over to one of the piers that had rides on them and managed to work around the tight crowds to get a few shots with the colorful lights of the boardwalk in them. We had a great time hanging out with Christine and Tom, they are both always joking around and have a great sense of humor that is dare I say a bit twisted just like mine! Kim and I are really looking forward to this wedding coming up at the Fonthill Castle and Museum which looks to be an awesome location. Below are a few of my favorites from our night in Wildwood.

Karla & Mike’s Engagement at Batsto Village

Karla and Mike were such a playful couple it made this shoot so much fun for us. I would ask Mike to make Karla laugh and he would say “I don’t have to do anything” and the both of them would burst into laughter. We had a beautiful spring day out at Batsto Village and we wandered around, chatted about the wedding day, and took some photos. They both naturally walked into each new setting and just started acting like themselves which was exactly what I was looking for and I think it really shows in the shots we were able to get. Kim and I are really looking forward to this wedding coming up but we’ve got a bit of a wait since it’s in 2011. Below are just a few of the shots I liked from the day, it was hard to pick I liked a lot of them.

Lauren & Chris Smithville Village Engagement

I can pretty much sum this one up easily – non stop laughter – it was great! Kim and I met Lauren and Chris at Smithville Village this past Monday and spent some time photographing them in all the different areas there. Every once in a while we were shooting for more serious expressions and the two of them would burst out in laughter which made for some great shots. I’m looking forward to capturing that same interaction between them on the wedding day coming up, it’s going to make my job so easy! After the shoot they invited us to grab some food with them and we got to hang out and chat about the wedding day, thanks again guys! Below are a few of my favorite shots from the day.
