Workflow Setup

$45/hour minimum of 2 hours (travel fee if applicable)

I have found that general computer issues sometime seem to become the hardest part of a photographer’s business. It’s a lot of work trying to maintain and work with a “Photographer’s” computer. I can help with computer setup, installation, and general computer maintenance. I do not have any formal training with computer repair, just years of experience with computers so I will only attempt to help with things I’ve previously handled myself. If your computer issue is beyond my experience level, I will let you know and try to help you find someone who can help you.

Workflow is another issue I’ve found many photographers tend to struggle with. I was responsible for creating and maintaining a workflow utilizing 2 servers and about 12 Macintosh computers at my previous job. That studio was an extremely high volume photography studio and the workflow had to be fast, yet provide safety through a somewhat automated backup procedure. I currently work at a much lower volume studio and have also helped to make their workflow more streamlined through the use of networked databases and RAID systems for backup. What I can offer is to help you create and customize a workflow solution that is tailored to your particular studio and way of working. Every photography studio has different need as far as a complete Capture-Save-Process-Deliver workflow solution. We all have different methods of taking pictures, as well as different computer setups (and amount of computers and budgets), as well as different products and final output methods we provide out clients with. I will work with you to try to come up with the workflow that best fits your studio and it’s needs.
