Heather & Kyle’s Wedding at the Valenzano Winery

What a kick ass way to start our 2011 wedding season thanks to Heather & Kyle! They decided to go with a winter wedding since one of their favorite things to do is skiing. In fact that is exactly where they went first thing the morning after their wedding.

Kim and I met up with Heather and her wonderful family and bridesmaids at their house in Vineland. It was perfect with brightly colored walls and one entire wall of windows for awesome lighting. I’ve gotta figure out how to use their place again for other weddings, haha. Heather was constant smiles from the moment she walked in the door and it was great because it caused everyone else in the house to do the same.

Heather & Kyle decided to have a first look and it was a splendid day for it. For a late February wedding it was nice enough for us to have them see each other for the first time outside. Constant laughter made our jobs so easy as we got the bridal party together for some group shots just outside the winery.

It was a great party at the Valenzano Winery with Darryl from VIP Mobile DJs keeping everybody dancing all night long. The night flew by and we can’t thank Heather, Kyle and all their family and friends for showing us a great time and allowing us to document their wedding day. Heather & Kyle’s Engagement at Parvins State Park

What a total blast these two were. From the moment we started they were constantly laughing and playing around. We even got a snowball fight out of them. Heather and Kyle are completely in love. It really shows they are totally into each other and have no problem getting nice and close for the camera. Kim and I had an amazing time with them and we are really looking forward to their winter wedding coming up at the end of February. Thanks to both of you for being so great and taking the cold in stride and Kim and I will see you soon!

Natalie & Jim’s Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Kim and I met up with Natalie & Jim at Longwood Gardens with the goal being to take some shots outside and then head into the gorgeous Christmas display at the gardens. Natalie & Jim were such troopers, they stuck it out in the freezing cold and even managed to keep smiling the whole time they were outside. We all had lots of smiles and laughs that evening and these two were just great to work with. They said “sure” when we asked them to go outside for the sunset and just went for it when we asked them to kiss in front of all the other guests at the gardens. Kim and I are certainly looking forward to the wedding which I’m sure won’t be that cold! I posted a few of my favorite shots below and hope you enjoy them.

Melissa & John Engagement at Batsto

Melissa and John have a thing for Volkswagens. They each have their own, so at their request we gladly added them into the shoot at the end of the night. We always love when a couple incorporates something personal to them, whether it’s a location, style, or in this case Volkswagens. It’s great for us since we get to work with the couple to make something personal and unique which I hope we achieved for Melissa and John. Kim and I met them at Batsto Village where we spent the evening laughing along with them. Melissa and John certainly know how to keep each other entertained which made for a great engagement shoot. Stephanie & Brian’s Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Kim and I met Stephanie & Brian on a hot summer day to hang out and take some engagement photos. They had chosen to have the session at the beautiful Longwood Gardens which was an excellent choice. I’ve got to hand it to them, they kept having fun and smiling even while we were shooting in the extremely hot greenhouses. Longwood Gardens has basically an unlimited choice of photo locations and we spent almost 2 hours photographing these two, which was really easy since they were up for everything. Brian had us all laughing with his awesome sense of humor and Stephanie was constantly smiling and went right along with everything we asked of her. We had such a fun time with them that we can’t wait for the wedding coming this December. Below are a few of my favorite shots from the day I hope you enjoy.

Karla & Mike’s Engagement at Batsto Village

Karla and Mike were such a playful couple it made this shoot so much fun for us. I would ask Mike to make Karla laugh and he would say “I don’t have to do anything” and the both of them would burst into laughter. We had a beautiful spring day out at Batsto Village and we wandered around, chatted about the wedding day, and took some photos. They both naturally walked into each new setting and just started acting like themselves which was exactly what I was looking for and I think it really shows in the shots we were able to get. Kim and I are really looking forward to this wedding coming up but we’ve got a bit of a wait since it’s in 2011. Below are just a few of the shots I liked from the day, it was hard to pick I liked a lot of them.

Lauren & Chris Smithville Village Engagement

I can pretty much sum this one up easily – non stop laughter – it was great! Kim and I met Lauren and Chris at Smithville Village this past Monday and spent some time photographing them in all the different areas there. Every once in a while we were shooting for more serious expressions and the two of them would burst out in laughter which made for some great shots. I’m looking forward to capturing that same interaction between them on the wedding day coming up, it’s going to make my job so easy! After the shoot they invited us to grab some food with them and we got to hang out and chat about the wedding day, thanks again guys! Below are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Kate & Josh’s Cape May Engagement

I’ll set the scene…. Kim and I are hanging out next to the car on Beach Avenue in Cape May, NJ right in front of Congress Hall. We see Kate and Josh walking down the sidewalk to meet up with us for their engagement shoot. It’s not hard to spot them Kate is literally jumping up and down and waving as she walks down the side walk. That’s pretty much how this engagement shoot went, these two are constantly having fun and keeping each other laughing. There was climbing in a tree, “can we get a shot in front of the giant beer sign?” (of course), and fun on the beach to finish things off. The evening ended with one of the nicest sunsets I’ve seen in quite some time, without a single other person on the beach! Below are a few of my favorites from the day, we hit a lot of locations and got a lot of variety. I’m really looking forward to their wedding coming up this September at the Carriage House in Galloway, NJ. On to the photos….

Erin & Mike – Batsto Village Engagement

Mike is a good friend from high school and when I heard he was going to marry Erin I was hoping I’d get to photograph their wedding. Well, I was lucky enough to have them choose Kim and I to be their photographers on the wedding day and on an unusually warm and perfectly sunny day this past October we all went to Batsto Village to have some fun and take some engagement pictures. They are a great couple and you can see how much fun they have together, it’s always good to see a friend happy. I’m really looking forward to the wedding coming up this January, I know it’s going to be a blast. Now onto a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Nicole & Frank Philadelphia Engagement

Nicole and Frank literally could not stop smiling at each other. Kim and I met this great couple at Washington Square in Philadelphia on a perfect sunny Sunday morning. From the moment we pointed the cameras at them they began to play, laugh and just have fun together. Honestly they made our jobs easy…. oh wait, I mean we took special care with each and every photo taken, haha. Seriously though, when couples have fun like this together (which they always seem to) it makes for amazing photos. I know I’ve said that before on this blog but it’s simply the truth. I feel like we were able to get a great mixture of playful, fun, and romantic shots that morning and here are a few of my selected favorites.
